CAN YOU BELIEVE IT????  We have a College Student!!!  (I'm still not too sure we are ready for this…)

Kirstin is officially a COLLEGE STUDENT!  Kirstin is taking English, History, College Algebra and two dance classes.  13 total credits plus one for Freshman Orientation.  She is transferring in 14 credits in from her Dual Credit that she took in high school.  By the end of 1st semester of her freshman year, she will be 3 credits short of being a Sophomore.

She is enjoying her apartment, roommates and classes very much.  She will have to write a little something to add to this so you can hear in her words what is up in her life.

A Word From Weatherford:

Yes, I'm at Weatherford College, in Weatherford, Texas (just west of Fort Worth).  I am a member of the Weatherford College Southern Premiere Performance Company (a co-ed dance team at the college).  I'm learning different styles of dance (such as, jazz, tap, ballet and character) and am performing at the college basketball games and community events.  The team is great and we have a blast dancing and hanging out together.  On Oct 17th we had a fundraiser Mr. and Miss Harvard on the Hill (Weatherford College sits up on a hill compared to the rest of the town of Weatherford).  We had a blast putting this pageant on for the college students and performing as well.  We did an Acapella tap number (I have never done tap before) and a chilling routine to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" which was a blast to learn and perform.

I live in the dorms, which are a little different than your typical dorm room, they are styled like apartments complete with a living room and kitchen in the rooms. They are new this year and I have my own room but share a bathroom.  I live with 3 roommates, and we are having a blast.  Two of my roommates are on the team with me and the other one just recently moved in and she is a blast to live with.  I enjoying living on my own, although there are times when I'm homesick.

I finish classes on Dec. 4th and have finals the week of the 8th.  The last two weeks of classes are packed for me, with studying for finals, performances every other day, and auditions for the spring musical "Annie Get Your Gun", as well as the Miss Weatherford/Parker County Pageant which I am participating in on Dec. 6th (this pageant is the local to the Miss Texas Scholarship pageant, which is the prelim to the Miss America pageant).  I anticipate next semester to be very busy for me, between classes,  practices and performances for dance (basketball games, competition,  and the spring show) as well as rehearsals for the musical.

At the moment I am taking my basic classes working toward my degree in math and dance education.  I am looking into transferring to Tarletan State University in Stephenville, TX in 2 years to finish my degree.

Oh and if any of you are wondering who Justin is in the picture below, Justin White is my boyfriend since the end the summer.  No I didn't meet him in Weatherford.  He graduated from Pflugerville High School in 2003 and is now in San Diego, CA for Marine Corps Boot Camp.  We went to Timmerman together in the 2nd grade and he had started coming back to church before we started dating.  I love him very much.
