Well, what can we say about Colby. He is enjoying having a bedroom all to himself. Colby is enjoying 7th grade. He played on the 7th grade B team. He played a game on October 2 in Rockdale (45 minutes from home) He said he wasn't going to play much, so Doug didn't go to the game. Kendra and I didn't go because Kendra was still in the hospital. Well, what does Colby go and do??? The coach puts him in for more of the game and he goes and scores a touchdown! He was so excited about that. A couple of weeks later against Giddings, he scored another touchdown that we all were able to see. He also got his name in the paper in the write up about the game. Colby continues to be an A student and has some real good study habits already. He practices his trombone more than Derek did when he played trombone in middle school. Colby is pretty good. Colby played his last year in Little Dribblers basketball with dad as coach (yes Doug was busy with two teams). Colby had basketball tryouts on November 10 and 12th. He made the 7th grade basketball team. He is excited about that! He had his first game on November 24 and he played on the 7th grade A team and did a great job! He did make a basket, which he says was a luck shot. He looks forward to playing and improving his game. There really is not a whole lot more to say about Colby-he is just a smiling happy kid--happy just to play X-box or his Game boy games. |
